Well friends, I’m back today with another installment of Minimalist Monday! I am loving going through my house and cleaning out the areas that need it most. When my space isn’t cluttered, I can breathe more easily. Today I’m focusing on office drawers!
The most cluttered space in my house, by far, is my office space. Since our house is only two bedrooms, our office doubles as a guest room and a library. We have a bed, a desk, and six bookshelves crammed in there. In addition to all this, I keep all my craft supplies in a rolling cart that takes up quite a bit of space. For today’s post, my goal was to clean out the drawers in my desk and my rolling cart. I wanted to get rid of the cart and fit everything neatly into my desk. It only took me about 45 minutes and I managed to achieve my goal! I even filled an entire trash bag with stuff to throw away, and another with stuff to donate.
As I was organizing, I threw away a large array of items: Old checks from a bank I no longer bank at, expired warranties, empty paint bottles, dried up glue sticks… even a bag of rocks! As
I purged, I made a list of what I threw away. I thought I’d make a helpful checklist for you of things you, too can toss from your office drawers! So here are thirty things in your office to throw away.
What about you?
It’s crazy to think about how much stuff I had crammed into my drawers! I put off cleaning out the drawers for days because I thought it would be a big project. It was surprising to me how little time cleaning my drawers took and how simple it was to put everything back together. Now that everything has been cleared out, I feel so much better. What about you? Do you have a lot of stuff in your office drawers? Tell me about it in the comments below!
